That is so depressing to think about. I had a cousin who committed suicide and it ripped our whole family apart. People simply refused to believe he could kill himself. My Aunt said he was murdered by my grandma, but some of us didn't buy that story. My grandma, at the time, was 87 and was confined to a wheelchair.
But some of the family members thought for sure that grandma had committed this crime (for a time they referred to her only as 'grim'ma' and at family gatherings they would tell the children not to get too close or she would murder them until they were dead).
Finally, they confronted her about it and then pushed her wheelchair out into the drive way and stoned her with bricks.
It was a really troubling time for the whole family. To this day there are some of us who think they went a little too far in stoning grandma to death.
It's kind of a sad story. |

jedgar's grandma gets stoned a lot too.
speaking of suicide i was watching mash the movie one night on tv and every time they went to commercial they would play that suicide is painless it brings on many changes song and i got to thinking, that sounds a lot like puberty to me! |

That's okay. There are certainly times I wonder if my grandma wasn't a cold-blooded killer. Did you know that nearly 2 out of 388,000 murders committed in the world in the last 177 years have been perpetrated by women age 86 or above?
It definitely makes you realize that someone in that condition is capable of brutal, severe death making.
Anyhow, apology accepted. I don't mean to bring the mood down in here and as far as I know, my grandma didn't murder my cousin. |

Ouch! You zoomed me pretty good there. Again, I don't mean to bring down the mood in here or start any issues, but I think everyone can admit that when you cousin is found dead in his bedroom from a drug overdose and your Grandma, who only lives about six blocks away and who didn't have any alibi, is the leading suspect, it can tend to shake up the family a bit.
I still think she's probably innocent, but I leave open the possibility that she did it. I guess we'll never know because I you can't examine pills once they've been ingested and dissolve into the blood stream.
That was the one thing my Aunt was really upset about. She thought for sure that if there was a way to piece together the pills, they could probably be dusted or examined for some trace evidence.
Again, I know I'm rambling on about this, and I'm sorry for that. |

a drug overdose is a bit different from a suicide. it's a fine line i guess. but did john belushi commit suicide? no. should jim belushi commit suicide? HELL NO!!! HAVE YOU SEEN LEAVE IT TO JIM???!?!? god that's a funny show. and courtney thorne smith cracks on him all the time. it's totally hilarious. |

Well, I think it's pretty clear it was intended to be a suicide. A note in his handwriting was found near his bed that basically said,
"I'm committing suicide, please don't try to blame this on an unintentional overdose, because I am doing this intentionally. I am trying to commit self murder, so please don't confuse my intent or actions because this is about as intentional of a suicide as you could possibly find anywhere. I'm sure that in the history of suicides, it is possible you might find an incident in which someone was perhaps more blatant in the actual way in which they murdered themself, but that shouldn't negate the blatent nature of this suicide. Please don't blame other family members either because that would be wrong and improper. I will miss you all, but mostly my grandma for being so loving and kind."
So, I think that pretty much made some of us think this probably was a suicide. But maybe not. |
